5K Starts at 8:30 | . 1 Mile Fun Run Starts at 9:30
The Main Street Association of East Greenwich is proud to once again sponsor the East
Greenwich Hill and Harbour Turkey Trot 5K Race and Fun Run taking place on Wednesday, November 30th. The 5K will start at 8:30AM and the 1 Mile Fun Run will start at 9:30AM.
The Turkey Trot is a fully sanctioned and certified 5K race, with prizes for top finishers in multiple divisions. The course highlights much of the beauty of East Greenwich, which includes Main Street, the waterfront, and the hill district. This event is held annually on the Saturday morning after Thanksgiving. Last year saw over 550 runners and all indications show that this race will be even bigger. In addition to the 5K race and Fun Run, the festivities include crafts, music food and drinks from our sponsors Dunkin’, Juice Junkie and LineSider Brewery. Whether you are a runner, a spectator, or a volunteer The Turkey Trot allows the entire community to get involved.
Volunteer On Race Day
We are once again looking for volunteers from the community come out on race day and show your support. Registration will begin at 7:00 am and most volunteer duties should be wrapped up by 11:00 am. To volunteer, please contact amyecmoore@aol.com, noting if you would like to request a specific task. As race day approaches, you will receive more detailed information. We look forward to seeing you on race day!
Race Beneficiary
The main beneficiary of the 2022 Turkey Trot is the Avengers Booster club. Each year a beneficiary is selected from a list of applications to receive a portion of the race proceeds. If your East Greenwich non-profit group or organization is interested in applying to be the beneficiary, please contact us at eastgreenwich5k@gmail.com.
